Based on a comparison of 34 countries in 2016, Spain ranked the highest in Permanent crops - Main area with 4,728 1,000 ha followed by Turkey and Italy. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 1.26 1,000 ha, Luxembourg with 1.55 1,000 ha and Ireland with 1.75 1,000 ha.
