Pig meat production reached 49,953 kt in 2014 in China, according to Faostat. This is 5.27 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, pig meat production in China reached an all time high of 52,733 kt in 2013 and an all time low of 1,370 kt in 1961. When compared to China's main peers, pig meat production in India amounted to 361 kt, 1,282 kt in Japan, 2,448 kt in Russia and 9,871 kt in USA in 2014.
