Historically, pig meat production in Croatia reached an all time high of 131 kt in 2009 and an all time low of 54.5 kt in 1997. When compared to Croatia's main peers, pig meat production in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 11.1 kt, 1.66 kt in Montenegro, 261 kt in Serbia and 34.3 kt in Slovenia in 2014.
