Historically, pig meat production in South Korea reached an all time high of 1,210 kt in 2013 and an all time low of 39.9 kt in 1962. When compared to South Korea's main peers, pig meat production in China amounted to 49,953 kt, 111 kt in Dem. People's Republic of Korea, 1,282 kt in Japan and 3,129 kt in Vietnam in 2014.
