Historically, production of cheese (whole cows' milk in Hungary reached an all time high of 89.2 kt in 1984 and an all time low of 1.40 kt in 1975. When compared to Hungary's main peers, production of cheese (whole cows' milk in Austria amounted to 38.3 kt, 20.0 kt in Czech Republic, 700 kt in Poland and 37.5 kt in Slovakia in 2014.
