Historically, production of dry chilli and pepper in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 7,679 tonnes in 1967 and an all time low of 510 tonnes in 1994. When compared to Bulgaria's main peers, production of dry chilli and pepper in Greece amounted to 432 tonnes, 45,945 tonnes in Romania, 4,209 tonnes in Serbia and 16,139 tonnes in Turkey in 2016.
