Production of dates reached 3,550 tonnes in 2014 in Palestine, according to Faostat. This is 1.42 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, production of dates in Palestine reached an all time high of 5,051 tonnes in 2002 and an all time low of 2,443 tonnes in 2006. When compared to Palestine's main peers, production of dates in Egypt amounted to 1,465,030 tonnes, 40,754 tonnes in Israel and 9,764 tonnes in Jordan in 2014.
