Production of dessert pears reached 360 kt in 2015 in Spain, according to Eurostat. This is 4.94 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, production of dessert pears in Spain reached an all time high of 672 kt in 2003 and an all time low of 285 kt in 2009. When compared to Spain's main peers, production of dessert pears in France amounted to 141 kt, 686 kt in Italy and 141 kt in Portugal in 2015.
