Historically, production of vegetables and melons in Tanzania reached an all time high of 2,769 kt in 2014 and an all time low of 645 kt in 1961. When compared to Tanzania's main peers, production of vegetables and melons in Kenya amounted to 2,287 kt, 599 kt in Mozambique, 1,201 kt in Uganda and 418 kt in Zambia in 2014.
