Production of primary vegetables reached 65,944 kt in 2014 in European Union, according to Faostat. This is 1.99 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, production of primary vegetables in European Union reached an all time high of 73,053 kt in 2004 and an all time low of 42,667 kt in 1962. When compared to European Union's main peers, production of primary vegetables in China amounted to 505,953 kt, 9,923 kt in Japan, 15,466 kt in Russia and 35,662 kt in USA in 2014.
