Based on a comparison of 26 countries in 2015, France ranked the highest in Protected Areas For Biodiversity (km2) with 549,192 km2 followed by Spain and Sweden. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 316 km2, Luxembourg with 2,597 km2 and Cyprus with 5,736 km2.
