Public Debt (Local Currency) in Afghanistan

Public debt reached AFN 241 bil in 2025 in Afghanistan, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 13.4% more than in the previous year.

Historically, public debt in Afghanistan reached an all time high of AFN 629 bil in 2005 and an all time low of AFN 54.8 bil in 2010.
