Public debt reached USD 13,614 bil in 2023 in the European Union, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 2.28% more than in the previous year.
Historically, public debt in the European Union reached an all time high of USD 28,823 bil in 2013 and an all time low of USD 3,472 bil in 2001.
