Raw silk production reached 200 tonnes in 2014 in Tajikistan, according to Faostat. This is the same as in the previous year.
Historically, raw silk production in Tajikistan reached an all time high of 246 tonnes in 1992 and an all time low of 61.0 tonnes in 1998. When compared to Tajikistan's main peers, raw silk production in Afghanistan amounted to 50.0 tonnes, 126,000 tonnes in China, 50.0 tonnes in Kyrgyzstan and 1,200 tonnes in Uzbekistan in 2014.
