Retail loans reached 12.0 ZWD bil in 2017 in Zimbabwe, according to the National Central Bank. This is 24.8 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, retail loans in Zimbabwe reached an all time high of 16.0 ZWD bil in 2016 and an all time low of 12.0 ZWD bil in 2015. When compared to Zimbabwe's main peers, retail loans in Botswana amounted to 36.5 BWP bil, 1,523 ZAR bil in South Africa and 2,728 ZMW bil in Zambia in 2017.
