Historically, rice consumption per capita in Armenia reached an all time high of 7.25 kg in 1992 and an all time low of 2.36 kg in 1997. When compared to Armenia's main peers, rice consumption per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.93 kg, 2.41 kg in Georgia, 42.6 kg in Iran and 16.0 kg in Turkey in 2017.
