Historically, rice consumption per capita in Germany reached an all time high of 4.89 kg in 2016 and an all time low of 1.49 kg in 1961. When compared to Germany's main peers, rice consumption per capita in Austria amounted to 5.46 kg, 9.93 kg in Belgium, 7.57 kg in France and 1.61 kg in Poland in 2017.
