Historically, rice consumption per capita in Namibia reached an all time high of 8.21 kg in 2015 and an all time low of 0.230 kg in 1988. When compared to Namibia's main peers, rice consumption per capita in Angola amounted to 13.4 kg, 12.7 kg in Botswana, 24.6 kg in South Africa and 4.21 kg in Zimbabwe in 2017.
