Historically, rice consumption per capita in Uzbekistan reached an all time high of 13.2 kg in 1992 and an all time low of 2.77 kg in 2008. When compared to Uzbekistan's main peers, rice consumption per capita in Kazakhstan amounted to 11.0 kg, 8.07 kg in Kyrgyzstan, 11.9 kg in Tajikistan and 24.1 kg in Turkmenistan in 2017.
