Historically, rice consumption per capita in Zimbabwe reached an all time high of 10.1 kg in 2013 and an all time low of 0.310 kg in 1982. When compared to Zimbabwe's main peers, rice consumption per capita in Botswana amounted to 12.7 kg, 36.0 kg in Mozambique, 24.6 kg in South Africa and 2.14 kg in Zambia in 2017.
