Risk premium on lending reached 6.52 % in 2017 in Tanzania, according to the National Central Bank. This is 3126 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, risk premium on lending in Tanzania reached an all time high of 18.7 % in 1996 and an all time low of -3.00 % in 1993. When compared to Tanzania's main peers, risk premium on lending in Kenya amounted to 5.30 %, 2.59 % in Mozambique, 10.7 % in Uganda and -2.11 % in Zambia in 2017.
