Sales of passenger cars reached 56.6 thousand in 2019 in Belarus, according to ACEA. This is 17.1 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Belarus reached an all time high of 56.6 thousand in 2019 and an all time low of 9.00 thousand in 2005. When compared to Belarus's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Lithuania amounted to 46.5 thousand, 556 thousand in Poland, 1,568 thousand in Russia and 88.4 thousand in Ukraine in 2019.
Belarus has been ranked 62nd within the group of 140 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 23 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
Passenger cars refer to road motor vehicles, other than two-wheelers, intended for the carriage of passengers and designed to seat no more than nine people (including the driver).
