Historically, sales of passenger cars in India reached an all time high of 3,395 thousand in 2018 and an all time low of 1,107 thousand in 2005. When compared to India's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Bangladesh amounted to 3.00 thousand, 21,444 thousand in China, 162 thousand in Pakistan and 8.10 thousand in Sri Lanka in 2019.
India has been ranked 7th within the group of 140 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 4 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
