Sales of passenger cars reached 619 thousand in 2019 in Iran, according to ACEA. This is 32.2 % less than in the previous year.

Historically, sales of passenger cars in Iran reached an all time high of 1,453 thousand in 2011 and an all time low of 619 thousand in 2019. When compared to Iran's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Iraq amounted to 51.1 thousand, 163 thousand in Pakistan and 5.23 thousand in Turkmenistan in 2019.
