When compared to Benin's main peers, share of population using internet in Burkina Faso amounted to 14.0 %, 4.32 % in Niger, 25.7 % in Nigeria and 11.3 % in Togo in 2016.
Benin has been ranked 157th within the group of 177 countries we follow in terms of share of population using internet, 15 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
The percentage of individuals using the internet in the developed world had reached 70% by the end of 2011, according to ITU.
