Historically, sheep meat production in Chad reached an all time high of 55.6 kt in 2014 and an all time low of 5.12 kt in 1961. When compared to Chad's main peers, sheep meat production in Cameroon amounted to 14.7 kt, 17.2 kt in Niger, 143 kt in Nigeria and 254 kt in Sudan in 2016.
