Small cars as a share of new cars sold reached 62.2 % in 2016 in Italy, according to ACEA. This is 4.01 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, small cars as a share of new cars sold in Italy reached an all time high of 64.8 % in 2015 and an all time low of 56.5 % in 2006. When compared to Italy's main peers, small cars as a share of new cars sold in Austria amounted to 33.9 %, 52.2 % in France and 28.8 % in Switzerland in 2016.
Italy has been ranked 1st within the group of 19 countries we follow in terms of small cars as a share of new cars sold.
