Small cars as a share of new cars sold reached 49.1 % in 2016 in Netherlands, according to ACEA. This is 9.58 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, small cars as a share of new cars sold in Netherlands reached an all time high of 54.6 % in 2011 and an all time low of 37.2 % in 2006. When compared to Netherlands's main peers, small cars as a share of new cars sold in Belgium amounted to 36.8 %, 49.7 % in Denmark, 28.5 % in Germany and 39.5 % in United Kingdom in 2016.
