Historically, smokers as a share of of 15+ year-old population in Denmark reached an all time high of 44.5 % in 1990 and an all time low of 16.0 % in 2009. When compared to Denmark's main peers, smokers as a share of of 15+ year-old population in Netherlands amounted to 26.6 %, 19.0 % in Norway and 13.6 % in Sweden in 2010.
