Based on a comparison of 21 countries in 2016, France ranked the highest in subsidies on animals with EUR 779 mil followed by Spain and Poland. On the other end of the scale was Austria with EUR 4.10 mil, Latvia with EUR 7.11 mil and Estonia with EUR 7.69 mil.
