Based on a comparison of 22 countries in 2015, France ranked the highest in Sugar beet (excluding seed) - Main area with 385 1,000 ha followed by Germany and Turkey. On the other end of the scale was Bulgaria with 0.100 1,000 ha, Portugal with 0.100 1,000 ha and Lithuania with 12.3 1,000 ha.
