Tallow production reached 40,000 tonnes in 2014 in Germany, according to Faostat. This is the same as in the previous year.
Historically, tallow production in Germany reached an all time high of 111,000 tonnes in 1991 and an all time low of 17,500 tonnes in 2003. When compared to Germany's main peers, tallow production in Austria amounted to 20,600 tonnes, 33,679 tonnes in Belgium, 191,000 tonnes in France and 8,600 tonnes in Poland in 2014.
