Tallow production reached 69,400 tonnes in 2014 in Uruguay, according to Faostat. This is the same as in the previous year.
Historically, tallow production in Uruguay reached an all time high of 73,000 tonnes in 2006 and an all time low of 12,900 tonnes in 1973. When compared to Uruguay's main peers, tallow production in Argentina amounted to 166,700 tonnes, 650,000 tonnes in Brazil, 4,800 tonnes in Chile and 37,265 tonnes in Paraguay in 2014.
