Tea production reached 1,400,000 tonnes in 2022 in Sri Lanka, according to Faostat. This is 22.2% less than in the previous year.
Historically, tea production in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 1,810,000 tonnes in 2013 and an all time low of 179,287 tonnes in 1983.
Sri Lanka has been ranked 4th within the group of 45 countries we follow in terms of tea production.
