Unmanufactured tobacco production reached 6,612 tonnes in 2022 in Sri Lanka, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 35.7% less than in the previous year.
Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 18,602 tonnes in 1980 and an all time low of 2,700 tonnes in 1962.
