Historically, turkey meat production in European Union reached an all time high of 2,154,880 tonnes in 2002 and an all time low of 99,441 tonnes in 1962. When compared to European Union's main peers, turkey meat production in China amounted to 3,570 tonnes, 12.0 tonnes in Japan and 2,610,710 tonnes in USA in 2014.
