Historically, vegetable consumption per capita in India reached an all time high of 80.8 kg in 2011 and an all time low of 37.0 kg in 1961. When compared to India's main peers, vegetable consumption per capita in Bangladesh amounted to 26.0 kg, 328 kg in China, 28.9 kg in Pakistan and 39.3 kg in Sri Lanka in 2013.
