Vegetable consumption per capita reached 135 kg in 2013 in Spain, according to Faostat. This is 4.11 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, vegetable consumption per capita in Spain reached an all time high of 212 kg in 1990 and an all time low of 124 kg in 2011. When compared to Spain's main peers, vegetable consumption per capita in France amounted to 103 kg, 148 kg in Italy, 138 kg in Morocco and 183 kg in Portugal in 2013.
Spain has been ranked 30th within the group of 160 countries we follow in terms of vegetable consumption per capita, 10 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
