Historically, virgin olive oil production in Egypt reached an all time high of 20,300 tonnes in 2014 and an all time low of 3,300 tonnes in 2010. When compared to Egypt's main peers, virgin olive oil production in Israel amounted to 15,800 tonnes and 15,000 tonnes in Libya in 2014.
