Historically, wood charcoal production in India reached an all time high of 2,880,000 kt in 2003 and an all time low of 850,747 kt in 1961. When compared to India's main peers, wood charcoal production in Bangladesh amounted to 338,898 kt, 1,623,733 kt in China, 86,990 kt in Pakistan and 1,819 kt in Sri Lanka in 2018.
