Greasy wool production reached 14,000 tonnes in 2014 in France, according to Faostat. This is the same as in the previous year.
Historically, greasy wool production in France reached an all time high of 25,500 tonnes in 1965 and an all time low of 12,032 tonnes in 2002. When compared to France's main peers, greasy wool production in Belgium amounted to 170 tonnes, 13,250 tonnes in Germany, 8,495 tonnes in Italy and 22,634 tonnes in Spain in 2014.
