Historically, greasy wool production in Hungary reached an all time high of 12,762 tonnes in 1982 and an all time low of 2,959 tonnes in 1997. When compared to Hungary's main peers, greasy wool production in Austria amounted to 150 tonnes, 320 tonnes in Czech Republic, 888 tonnes in Poland and 1,210 tonnes in Slovakia in 2014.
