Historically, greasy wool production in Israel reached an all time high of 1,100 tonnes in 2012 and an all time low of 340 tonnes in 1961. When compared to Israel's main peers, greasy wool production in Egypt amounted to 12,250 tonnes, 2,850 tonnes in Jordan, 2,250 tonnes in Lebanon and 20,677 tonnes in Syria in 2014.
