Greasy wool production reached 9,450 tonnes in 2013 in Libya, according to Faostat. This is the same as in the previous year.
Historically, greasy wool production in Libya reached an all time high of 10,140 tonnes in 2003 and an all time low of 2,332 tonnes in 1961. When compared to Libya's main peers, greasy wool production in Algeria amounted to 27,000 tonnes, 12,500 tonnes in Egypt and 11,000 tonnes in Tunisia in 2013.
