Greasy wool production reached 16,250 tonnes in 2014 in Mongolia, according to Faostat. This is 1.52 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, greasy wool production in Mongolia reached an all time high of 26,800 tonnes in 1995 and an all time low of 14,500 tonnes in 1961. When compared to Mongolia's main peers, greasy wool production in China amounted to 440,550 tonnes, 38,469 tonnes in Kazakhstan, 10,949 tonnes in Kyrgyzstan and 53,914 tonnes in Russia in 2014.
