Historically, greasy wool production in Norway reached an all time high of 5,728 tonnes in 1994 and an all time low of 3,869 tonnes in 1974. When compared to Norway's main peers, greasy wool production in Denmark amounted to 180 tonnes, 100 tonnes in Finland, 993 tonnes in Iceland and 152 tonnes in Sweden in 2014.
