Workers' remittances paid reached 138 USD mil in 2017 in Belarus, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 11.3 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, workers' remittances paid in Belarus reached an all time high of 181 USD mil in 2014 and an all time low of 3.50 USD mil in 1993. When compared to Belarus's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Lithuania amounted to 548 USD mil, 5,865 USD mil in Poland, 20,610 USD mil in Russia and 584 USD mil in Ukraine in 2017.
Belarus has been ranked 97th within the group of 142 countries we follow in terms of workers' remittances paid, 17 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
