Workers' remittances paid reached 548 USD mil in 2017 in Lithuania, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 6.18 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, workers' remittances paid in Lithuania reached an all time high of 1,135 USD mil in 2012 and an all time low of 0.090 USD mil in 1993. When compared to Lithuania's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Belarus amounted to 138 USD mil, 151 USD mil in Estonia, 444 USD mil in Latvia and 20,610 USD mil in Russia in 2017.
Lithuania has been ranked 59th within the group of 142 countries we follow in terms of workers' remittances paid, 14 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
