Historically, workers' remittances paid in Macedonia reached an all time high of 33.0 USD mil in 2008 and an all time low of 0.380 USD mil in 1997. When compared to Macedonia's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Albania amounted to 106 USD mil, 199 USD mil in Bulgaria, 881 USD mil in Greece and 63.4 USD mil in Kosovo in 2017.
