Historically, workers' remittances paid in Malaysia reached an all time high of 6,786 USD mil in 2008 and an all time low of 4.57 USD mil in 1974. When compared to Malaysia's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Cambodia amounted to 325 USD mil, 4,397 USD mil in Thailand and 111 USD mil in Vietnam in 2017.
